I Laugh My Way Free

For so long, laughter felt impossible.
The stumble, the spill,
the plan collapsing in my hands—
yet somehow,
now I laugh through the chaos.

And suddenly,
the wrong doesn’t feel so heavy.
It shifts,
turns in the light,
almost seems right.

As if the mistake
wasn’t failure at all,
but a crooked path
meant to lead me here—
to this moment of release,
this reminder
that perfection was never the point.

Laughter makes it so:
the broken plate becomes a story,
the missed turn an adventure,
the flaws a new kind of freedom.

And maybe that’s the secret—
that in choosing to laugh,
I change the meaning.
What goes wrong
was only waiting
to be rewritten as joy.

And through it all,
through everything that goes wrong—
yet somehow,
now I laugh.

Because maybe life was never meant
to be tidy or tame.
Maybe the wrong and the crazy
are the very things
that make it worth living.
And when I embrace them,
I don’t just survive—
I laugh my way free.
